DON’T IGNORE THE WARNING SIGNS
Signs You Need Radiator or Cooling System Service
Do not wait until your temperature gauge is in the red. These common warning signs can point to cooling system trouble, and ignoring them can lead to much more expensive engine repairs.
Temperature Gauge Running High
If your gauge is higher than normal or near the red, your engine may be overheating. Pull over safely and get it checked soon.
Steam or Smoke Under the Hood
This is a serious warning sign. Turn off the engine and do not keep driving.
Coolant Puddles Under the Car
If you notice green, orange, or pink fluid under your car, your cooling system may have a leak.
Sweet Smell From the Engine Bay
Transmission fluid is red or dark red. A puddle under your car should never be ignored.
Heater Not Working Properly
Poor cabin heat can indicate low coolant levels, a failing thermostat, or a clogged heater core.
Coolant Is Low, Dirty, or Overdue for a Flush
If your low coolant light is on, the coolant looks rusty or dirty, or it has been a long time since your last flush, your system likely needs service.
